this 4-unit project is located in the heart of oakland's hip temescal neighborhood and around the corner from a farmer's market and numerous resutrants, commercial and retail businesses. the building was constructed in 1924 when the neighborhood was a vibrant economic center, long before the construction of the grove shafter freeway which had an adverse impact on the neighborhood until its renewal during the past decade.

building upon the revival of this neighborhood, we purchased this building seeing a great opportunity for its restoration and conversion to condominiums. with mike pitler architecture at the helm, the renovation affected everyting from the foundation to the roof since the building had been minimally upgraded since its construction. the interiors were redesigned to be more open and modern while highlighting many of their historic features.

behind the building was a 4 car garage that was renovated/restored for use as studio spaces for each condo's use.
